Mike Welchhans

Mike Welchhans serves as Communication Coordinator at the University of Kansas Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE). In this role he develops multimedia solutions to communicate CTE's work.

With a background in photography and graphic design, Mike brings visual expertise to his communications strategy. Prior to joining the CTE, he worked as Communications Specialist at the Kansas State Department of Education, where he managed social media and produced the KSDE Insight Podcast.

Mike holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Kansas State University and is passionate about using his skills to facilitate meaningful conversations about teaching and learning. Outside of work, he enjoys biking and kayaking.
