A Special Series for Incoming, Current, and Outgoing Department Leaders

Have your administrative responsibilities left you with little energy for the classroom? Do you feel as if you are not the strong teacher you once were?

Meeting dates:

  • February 19
  • March 26
  • April 16

This series, specifically designed for department and unit leaders, is equal parts workshop and support group. Too often the bureaucracy of curriculum management takes us away from the very practice of good pedagogy. Over three sessions, we will work to reframe our teaching as precious time each week to be creative and generative, rather than reactive. Sessions will include examples of low effort/high impact sparks to energize the classroom; peer supported assignment redesign; and dedicated reflection time to get back in touch with your best teaching self. Join us for this supportive and restorative series. Facilitated by CTE Faculty Fellows Marie Brown (History) and Nisha Fernando (Architecture).
